Megumi treated me for one year. She did a wonderful job of treating me for insomnia, tremors in the right hand, weight loss and various other medical conditions. While she was treating me my tremors improved markedly. The insomnia was treated successfully with acupuncture and herbs. We also worked on weight loss. My overall condition showed much improvement as we worked together over the space of a year. Megumi works well with both the physical, mental and emotional needs of the patient. Her knowledge of acupuncture, herbs and meridian exercises served me well and I really appreciate her tender loving care.

Megumi is an excellent practitioner. Her experience with reproduction disorders including PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) has been integral to my overall treatment. She is very gentle and always makes me feel relaxed. Overall, acupuncture and herbs have resulted in a reduction of pain and improvement in health.

I had terrible tendonitis in my wrist -- shooting pain and quite debilitating. I went to a specialist and was given a cortisone shot -- and he said if that didn't work, I would have to have surgery. Two weeks after the cortisone shot, the pain came right back... and I really thought there had to be another option other than having surgery. So, I went to see Megumi at Bamboo Field Acupuncture. Megumi was great --- very sweet, patient, and made me feel very comfortable. She spent a lot of time with me, and didn't spend just minutes with me like western doctors do. She diagnosed me, and through a treatment combination of herbs (took faithfully per Megumi's direction), acupuncture and moxibustion, after 3 consecutive treatments, the tendonitis is completely gone and hasn't come back!!!!!!!! I am so amazed by this and totally believe in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, and you can bet that I'll be back to see Megumi again in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went for knee and hip pain - recommended by orthopedic to use in conjunction with PT. The environment was calm and almost spa like. 1st visit I was a little tense because I was uncertain. By 3rd visit my pain was almost completely gone. After "needling" I feel like I had just awoken from a deep refreshing sleep. I also happen to have a dry cough from allergies on second visit which she addressed. Cough was gone for next 10 hours. Wow

For years I suffered with migraine headaches that would sometimes last 3-5 days at a time. Megumi created a treatment plan for me that has ALLEVIATED the headaches. Not only are the headaches gone, but I now have more energy and feel better overall. Megumi is fantastic!!!!

I came to Megumi after more than a year of conventional treatments for anxiety and insomnia. I had been taking several, powerful and addictive prescription drugs for my symptoms with corresponding side effects. Megumi determined I suffered from yin deficiency and several other related problems. After a couple months of acupuncture and Chinese herbal treatments, I am sleeping well, and I am more relaxed and stronger than before. I am now well enough to begin the arduous process of slowly withdrawing from the prescription medications. Also, Megumi is assisting with the prescription drug withdrawal symptoms, which incidentally have been much milder than previously experienced. I now look forward to the future when I will be completely off all the prescription medicine. As an aside, my allergies seem to be much better, too. I highly recommend Megumi as an effective and caring TCM practitioner. She has helped me greatly.

I came to Megumi after two years of an essentially chronic migraine. From nerve blocks to intense pain killers, nothing seemed to relieve the pain. It was difficult for me to function on a daily basis, and I was exhausted from dealing with the pain. Megumi took time to carefully listen to everything I had to say......not only initially, but each session. She is warm, kind, understanding, and most importantly, an excellent problem solver. I have only been receiving acupuncture for a few weeks, but already my life has changed significantly. It feels great to leave each visit with Megumi knowing that I am doing something good for my body, and that it is making a huge difference.

When I came to see Migumi, I was three days into an acute migraine attack. After the acupuncture session, my migraine was reduced from a throbbing pain level of 10 to a manageable pain level of about 3. Since then, Migumi developed a plan using acupuncture and Chinese herbs to begin working on my issue of chronic migraines. With Migumi’s help, we have begun to reduce the frequency of my migraines each month and continue to work towards improving my overall health and wellbeing to completely eradicate the migraines from my life. Migumi is a very thoughtful and caring practitioner and I would recommend her to anyone!

I have been very negligent in not addressing this earlier. I was in Austin in June at my daughters and was in great pain in the spine and neck area. I came to Megumi on two different occasions and was very pleased with the results. The pain was cut to nearly nothing the first time and nearly gone with the second visit. I would definately reccomend her to any one for this procedure.
Since I have returned home I have made arrangements to continue with accupunture treatments locally and most of the time my pain is under control. It was Megumi's reccomendation that I continue with this at home and to be sure they were licensed. I did so and like I said am doing well.
When I am in Austin again I would not hesitate to see Megumi if I so needed.
